Friday, February 27, 1998
Maui reviews and photos are up! Sorry for the delay, but hopefully you'll think it was worth it. =) Enjoy!!!
Thursday, February 26, 1998:
Queen's Wharf Events Center, Wellington, NZ
Setlist and brief notes are up for the first New Zealand show [thanks Fiona!] in the 98 Concert Chronology. Also added a bit to the Maui show; scanned the Maui tour shirt and poster and linked from the Memorabilia section.
Tuesday, February 24, 1998:
We're baaaccckkk... =)

Well, at least Caryn is. Jean gets another day in Maui (%$#@!).

Turned out we didn't have net access from Maui - 800 and 888 numbers were blocked from our condo. The setlist and notes each night were transmitted via cell phone courtesy Guest Horizon Andrew Dunn, to whom we all owe a round of applause! Thanks, nd, for staying up each night and updating the page.

We have a TON of mail in the inbox, some of which I've started to answer. Most of it is about the Ten Club and ticket sales. The cutoff date for membership was February 1 - in other words, if you weren't a member as of 2/1, you aren't eligible for tickets even if you join today. We do not have ANY information about ticket sales to the general public at this time, and when we do, we'll post it here - we can't possibly email everyone individually. And finally, we know the Ten Club email box is still full and bouncing messages, but we don't have any contact with them and cannot possibly answer any questions about your memberships. Sorry. =(

I've got about 150 awesome photos from the front of the pit and pages and pages of review that I wrote on the plane home. However, my sunburned, way-tired, moshpit-bruised body has GOT to get some sleep. Look for a full report of Caryn & Jean's Maui Adventures tomorrow or Thursday most likely.

Finally, we'd like to give a shout out to all the AWESOME people we met at the shows. You guys really made the trip for us, and you better WRITE! =)

Off to sleep.

Sunday, February 22, 1998:

Maui pt. 2. Setlist and notes are up on the Concert Chronology page. Thanks to Mark for sending us the setlist!

At the show, Neil Young was spotted, and they think they saw his guitar tech, but Neil didn't step on stage with PJ. Bummer ...

Friday, February 19, 1998:
Maui, first night setlist and notes is here!

Some news about a possible special guest who may or may not show up on stage at tomorrow's show.

Wednesday, February 18, 1998:
Thanks to everyone who's sent in details for the missing venue info for Going Mobile; we've gotten some fantastic info from you all, and don't need anything else on the SC or TN venues. Just don't have time to update right now.

If you live near any of the venues, and have tips and tricks to share with other PJ fans, please do send that kind of stuff along -- like speed traps, nasty police forces, shortcuts, directions, etc. We'll put all of it to good use next week.

There will not be any updates to the site over the next few days as we are Maui-bound. However, we absolutely do not need any setlists or reviews from the Maui show; we will have the Concert Chronology updated as soon as possible after each night's show so you can get the setlist and other details if you're not going to be there.

And, the ticket forms arrived today; update in News.

Mahalo!!!!!!!

Going Mobile: The 5h PJ Road Trip '98 Guide is pretty much complete - there are some venues we could use some help on, so go check it out. [Thanks to Philbrook, justin rousseau, Brodie Vernworn and Jack Long for the additions thus far.]

Answers to popular tour-and-ticket related questions:

We still don't have our forms. Hopefully tomorrow!!!!!
Monday, February 16, 1998:
Planning on roadtripping to follow the tour this summer? Then you'll need to check out Going Mobile: The 5h PJ Road Trip '98 Guide! This is still a work in progress -- we're only 3/4 way through the tour -- but it should help you filling out your ticket forms! The rest will be finished up tomorrow night.

Ten Club ticket forms in the mail. In News.

Saturday, February 14, 1998:

Added a photo of the Las Vegas billboard (thanks to Randy Haskin) and the video capture from MTV 1515 (thanks to Paul Hudson) to the Yield Media Watch page.
Sunday, February 8, 1998
Oh, this is TOO funny: MTV News 1515 "borrowed" our Monkeywrench Radio banner and you can see it during "DTE", right at the beginning of the broadcast! (But, of course we didn't get a credit or anything like that. Thanks, guys.)

February's Song of the Month, which also happens to be our thoughts on Yield, as well as some live music from the Oakland shows, is now up. Enjoy!

The Ten Club hotline transcription is updated; the NME article transcription is online (linked from Yield Media Watch page.

Added the 98 Concert Chronology section. Other Concert Chronology additions/modifications:

Article in today's New York Times, in the Yield Media Watch page. [Thanks to ecg and my dad]

Updated the info on the On The Road page.

Aussie/NZ fans: thanks to all of you who have written so far -- we'll be writing to the volunteers shortly. However, we are still in need of a correspondent for the Perth gig! C'mon, you were fanatical enough to organize a petition and get PJ to play in your town, but there's no one out there who can give us a setlist?! =) Let's hear from you!

Finally, you can expect our thoughts on Yield and a new Song of the Month later today!

Friday, February 6, 1998
The March 98 Guitar World interview with Jeff and Mike is online; linked from the Yield Media Watch page. Included are two of the article photos, one from Lance Mercer and one from Charles Peterson. You'll have to snag the mag to get the rest.
Wednesday, February 4, 1998
The Ten Club hotline has been updated; nothing earthshattering, don't worry. We'll try to get a transcription this weekend, but they changed the navigation and it's not working, so after each menu item you gotta hang up and dial again.

Some TV appearances etc. on the Yield Media Watch page. Note: We're going to log all the album-related promo activities on that page, and not News, for the time being. There's a reminder at the top of News in case you forget. Let us know if this doesn't work for you....

On that note, we're trying to verify a few stories, including the PJ on Letterman item. This could be a rerun, could be new, but we're damned if we're gonna trust alternaradio sources for this one.

Aussie and NZ PJ Fans!: This means *you*! 5h is looking for local reporters for the upcoming shows in your country.

Tuesday, February 3, 1998: It's here!!! Yield
If you don't have it, what are you waiting for? :)

PJ interview tonight @ 6pm on MTV Live. In News.

Finally, a billboard photo! And some other items added to the Yield Media Watch page. [Thanks to Paul Hudson for the photo, and Kerryn for the commercial info.].

about the album....: so much to say, so much to process, so much completely fucking amazing music to listen to. we're still getting through it all, gathering our thoughts, and will launch our Yield extravaganza page in a day or two. It'll be worth the wait; stay tuned, and TURN IT UP!

Monday, February 2, 1998
Just a reminder: there is no need to send us setlists, reviews, photos or artwork scans from Yield. We are still waiting until we pick up our copies next Monday night. Likewise, we are not archiving or tracking album reviews. Thanks!

We're still recovering from Saturday's broadcast! However, we've added the Perth date to the 98 shows section. [Thanks to Oliver Sharwood for the confirmation.]
